The Love of a Grandfather (Video!)

Let me introduce you to my Grandson, Bradley. He just turned one last month. His favorite word is "Hi!" and his favorite thing to do is to take out everything from any drawer or cabinet, spread it haphazardly all over the floor, and then walk away while saying, "Hi!" to seek out his next target.

Mindy and I can't get enough of this little man. It's difficult to express the love you feel for a grandchild because it's a "different" kind of love.

That love emanates from seeing your son, this tiny little human that you brought into this world, grow up, find the love of his life, and then make the conscious decision to create their own child.   Here are some of my favorite things about being a grandpa…**When we see Matt and Kelly experience the ultimate joy with Bradley that Mindy and I felt when Matt was an infant…**That big smile I get every time he sees me is the absolute best…**There is nothing like it when he looks up and reaches out so Grandpa will pick him up….**The sometimes whiny voice when I have to leave…**When he flashes that big smile to his Uncle EJ and Aunt Allie, it's heart warming…**We love extended babysitting time but also enjoy it when his mom and dad get home at which time the the two of us need to go down for a nap.
