With the weather forecast calling for sunshine with highs in the low 60's this week, I need to figure out how to drop 30 pounds in the next month.I'm not happy with the way I look and the tie-dyed t-shirt doesn't help. It's no one's fault. It's all on me. To help me out and possibly some of you, I'm going to list the top five diets from 2015 that are recommended by the experts at U.S News and World Report.

Here we go:

Number 1 - The Dash Diet which stands for Dietary Approaches to Stop Hypertension. The diet experts gave it an A+ for being easy to follow, nutritious, safe, and works great for weight loss.

Number 2 - The TLC Diet is a do-it-yourself kind of diet plan. It's a low fat way of eating that involves munching on fruits, veggies, whole grains, and fish.

Number 3 - The Mayo Clinic Diet claims you can lose up to 6 to 10 pounds in two weeks. This plan focuses on breaking your bad eating habits and replacing them with good ones.

Number 4 - The Mediterranean Diet is just OK for weight loss but is great for heart health. Good news....this weight loss plan encourages you drink red wine, in moderation of course.

Number 5 -  Weight Watchers .....The experts found this plan far outweighed most commercial diet plans especially for short and long term weight loss.

Here are the Top Five Worst Fad Diets you should never try:

Number 1 - The Raw Food Diet.....If you'd like to spend hours juicing, blending, dehydrating, sprouting, germinating, cutting, and chopping, then have at it. This diet forbids cooking any food in any way. I rest my case!

Number 2 - Alkaline Diets ......This diet has you cutting out meat, dairy, caffeine, alcohol, and processed foods. This diet is strict and bans food that have a place in a healthy eating plan.

Number 3 - The Blood Type Diet.....This diet believes that the food you eat reacts chemically with your blood type. Depending on your blood type, this plan can be very restricting.

Number 4 - The Werewolf Diet or Lunar Diet .......This diet requires fasting according to the lunar calendar. If you're using the "quick fix" version, during the full moon you're only allowed to drink juice or water.. You will lose weight on the Lunar Diet, but when you stop, you'll gain it back. Note to self, this plan has nothing to do with the moon.

Number 5 - Cookie Diets.....This diet plan calls for eating 500 to 600 calories a day of high protein cookies for breakfast, lunch, and snacks, and then eating a normal dinner. You will lose some weight but by depriving yourself all day, there's a possibility you may binge at dinner. Check out this video, it may help...............
