The FAA is actually sending personnel to Wal-Mart stores to educate the staff on what to tell customers when they buy these drones.

According to Air Transport World an estimated 1 million drones could be sold and given as gifts this coming holiday season.  That is a lot of unchecked air traffic and there have already been a lot of problems.

Reports of drones interfering with airplanes and even firefights were all over the news this past year and it can only get worse from here.  This is a classic example of the government not being able to regulate or legislate at the speed of technology.  Technology has advanced way too fast for the government to be able to anticipate issues, problems and even possible criminal activity. The fact is no matter what the technology someone out there will find a way to use it in a way that hurts people in one way or another.

NOT EVERYONE NEEDS A DRONE!

I was saying this like two years ago when Amazon announced that they would be using drones to deliver packages.  It's just not a good idea.  I don't need to be walking down the street and get blasted in the face with a Neil Sedaka CD or a copy of Cather in the Rye. Enough with the drones man.
