The David Lee Roth Bald Look: Thumbs Up Or Thumbs Down? [Poll]

THIS JUST IN: Several fans who attended The Foo Fighters' concert in Inglewood, California Saturday night went into cardiac arrest upon seeing David Lee Roth's bald head. Thankfully, Roth was able to use his experience as an EMT to resuscitate all of them.

Seriously, did you see this video yet? Roth joined The Foo Fighters onstage during Dave Grohl's birthday bash at The Forum to perform two Van Halen classics, "Panama" and "Ain't Talkin' 'Bout Love". Check out the video below. At about the 2:55 mark you will see Diamond Dave remove his cap to reveal his freshly shaven head:

Can you imagine Dave doing something like this at the height of his fame back in the mid-80s? I mean, it's mind-blowing now but imagine what MTV would have done with this 30 years ago.

As a die-hard VH/David Lee fan I have to say that I never saw this coming. Part of me thinks he looks cool while another part of me thinks he looks kinda creepy. At the end of the day, however, I'm gonna give him a thumbs up. Enough with the cut and paste job he's been doing for years now with comb overs, comb forwards, spray-on hair, toupees, weaves, hair dye. You name it, Dave's tried it. If guys like Rob Halford, Michael Stipe and Billy Corgan can pull it off why can't Diamond David Lee Roth?
