So the Danbury Fair has created it's own power source!  That is SO SUPERHERO!

In the near future, almost half of the electricity used by the Danbury Fair mall will be generated on site.

Yes,

Officials with Macerich, the parent company that operates the mall, unveiled a set of fuel cells recently that will generate up to 750 kilowatts of electricity and produce nearly 36 percent of the electricity used by the regional shopping center.

Many officials said the fuel cells may be the first installed at any mall in North America.

OK, so a few things:

This is very superhero of the mall, they are saying we are gonna rock it like a hurricane on our own.  Yeah buddy. Danbury, coming in hot.

This is interesting because this country is littered with abandoned malls from the recession and this mall not only survived but has thrived in recent years.

This is a great example of how they do their business, they are not waiting for the next trend but they are on top of the next cost effective way to rise to the top.

We are lucky to have it, it means local, secure jobs and industry and it also means I can get a sweater, jeans, tires and a burrito in the same day.

I shop once a year and I usually get everything in at once.  WAY TO GO DANBURY FAIR!
