Unless you are living under a rock, you know that the income tax filing date is different this year. Baby I've got some deals for you to enjoy whether you are receiving or giving to the tax man.

Assuming you might be living under that rock, let me clue you in to the fact that Tax Day is April 18 this year for most states- including Connecticut -  instead of the usual April 15 date. This delay is because the Internal Revenue Service recognizes Emancipation Day, observed by the District of Columbia on April 15. The filing deadline is Monday, April 18. Frankly it made no difference to me, I still had to send the state of Connecticut a big old fat check - DO NOT even get me started!

On a happier note,  lets talk some deals! According to the Hartford Courant, you can score some sweet deals as the tax man approaches. Discounts can be found at Outback Steakhouse, Bruegger's Bagels, Office Depot, Staples, Sonic Drive-In, Zazzle and HydroMassage. Info and links can be found at courant.com. Sadly for me there are no liquor store deals for me to drown my sorrows.
