  • Yikes...All of this went down not far from where I live! A former Wethersfield landscaper is being identified as a serial killer responsible for the deaths of at least eight women. William Devin Howell is serving a 15-year prison sentence for the 2003 killing of a woman. Officials say evidence has been uncovered directly linking Howell to the seven bodies that were dumped behind a strip mall in New Britain. Howell is currently serving his time at Garner Correctional Institution in Newtown.
  • The investigation into the tragic train derailment in Philadelphia is ongoing. Meanwhile Amtrak service between New York and Philadelphia is suspended. For train info click on this link to AMTRAK. Sources say It could be days before the tracks are cleared and repaired. New Jersey Transit is honoring Amtrak tickets but is warning commuters to be prepared for lots of delays and schedule changes.
  • Changes are going down at WestConn.State budget cuts are causing Western Connecticut State University to suspend several graduate level programs. The school says they are suspending graduate programs in health and justice administration and in teaching. WestConn is also delaying the launch of a master of applied behavioral analysis program because of the cuts. The college is planning to leave 19 positions unfilled to help balance the books.
  • Are you on Twitter? Are you a Pizza lover? Well then, take note. Domino's is set to unveil a new "tweet-to-order" system that lets customers to use Twitter to complete an order. Domino's recently revealed its app which allows you to "voice-order" a pizza, and now they hope this newest venture will be more convenient for customers and cook up more publicity. Those who are regulars at Domino's will be able to log on to Twitter and simply tweet a pizza emoji to @Dominos
