Just when you thought it might be safe to get back in your car. Now what?

The question is, when will the problems at the Department of Motor Vehicles in Connecticut end? Many people, in every state across the country, complain about long lines at the DMV. In Connecticut, we wound up with our own special hell because of the massive computer upgrade that turned into a cluster of epic proportions.

Put the brakes on, my friends, and pull over for some more bad news. In a story from courant.com, the Department of Motor Vehicles says 50,000 incorrect car tax bills have been sent to their owners. The DMV computers apparently sent wrong vehicle information to municipal tax assessors.

In a statement on the DMV website, people are being advised to immediately open their tax bills when they arrive this year and review them thoroughly. You should report any problems to local officials.

My "spidey" sense tells me we have yet to see the end of screw ups and problems in our state.
