Mrs. Large and I spent a day at the Maritime Aquarium in Norwalk SundayIf you've never been, the Maritime Aquarium in Norwalk is a great place to spend a hot Summer afternoon. There are many interactive exhibits to check out, including currently: Touch a Jellyfish, Lizards and Dragons, Meerkats, a walk-through Butterfly exhibit, touch a shark and skate pool, and many different sea creature exhibits.

The aquarium was crawling with children, and is definitely geared towards the younger crowd, but there are also many educational exhibits geared towards adults.

I loved the explanation of our wastewater and how it affects marine life in Long Island Sound, and it made me not want to wash my car in my driveway ever again.

The butterfly exhibit was amazingly beautiful, so many incredible colors on the delicate butterflies as they flutter inches from your face.

The Maritime Aquarium is located on Water Street in South Norwalk, right off Exit 14,15 or 16 of I-95. Go see the Meerkats! They're so cute!
