Such a sad tragic loss, but a heartwarming remembrance for this little girl.

Mother's Day should be all about joy. Often though, it is a sad day for moms who have suffered the loss of a child. I can't even imagine the tragedy surrounding this story. But, out of that tragedy, came a small remembrance given this past Mother's Day to a mom in Bridgeport, Connecticut.

Shaneese Pettway lost her 3-year-old daughter, Sincere, in a fire back in January. In a story from CTPost.com, a Bridgeport street was just renamed to honor little Sincere. Bunnell Street is now called Sincere Pettway Lane to recognize the child, who died when the Greentree Condominiums burned in early 2016. Sincere's mom, Shaneese, as well as two other children were injured in the fire that took Sincere's life. A ceremony was held yesterday, Mother's Day, to rename the street.

That honor will never bring the little girl back, or even remotely ease the burden of loss. I can only pray though, that with time, seeing the sign Sincere Pettway Lane, can bring a smile to many faces.
