Wing madness is quickly approaching! The I-95 phone lines are lighting up with "Wing Nuts" making sure there are still tickets available for "The Second Annual Connecticut Wing Fest" on Saturday, January 30, at the Matrix Conference and Banquet Center.According to Matthew Kourie, co-founder of the "The New York Best Wings Festival," there is a community of "Wing Hunters" who are so overly enthusiastic about their wings, they scour the countryside searching for the very best that the chicken wing world has to offer!

Some passionate wing lovers might say that chicken wings are like pizza and sex, that even when it's bad, it's good! The self proclaimed "wing experts" say that is absolutely not true. As one wing expert put it, "You must be truly passionate about wings and have a wide palate for tasting everything from traditional, smoked, international flavors to all levels of heat!"

Here's what a self proclaimed "wing expert" is tasting for:

1. Does the outside have a crunch without being done...

2. Is the inside tender and cooked all the way through...

3. Is the sauce "something special"...

4. Once you've tasted the wing, do you immediately want to eat another...

5. Do you want to rave about the wing on social media...

Tickets were sold out last year, so buy your tickets now for "The Second Annual Connecticut Wing Fest" on Saturday, January 30 from 6 to 9pm at the The Matrix Conference and Banquet Center in Danbury.
