Shane Slinsky was only 18-years-old when he was shot in the head and killed in Bridgeport last Saturday afternoon.

According to the Stamford Advocate, slain teen, Shane Slinsky, had some serious cash in his pocket when he was gunned down in Bridgeport. It was only a couple of months ago when Slinsky's family accepted a $100,000 check from the city of Stamford because of a damaging relationship with Stamford High School English teacher, Danielle Watkins.

According to a story in the NewsTimes, police sources say that Slinsky had pot on him, but those sources don't know whether he was the buyer or the dealer. Whatever it was, he was found dead in the street. Ctpost.com says that growing up, Slinsky had learning issues caused by dyslexia, along with a marijuana issue. When he was put on juvenile probation, he tried to clean up his act, but as the sexual relationship with Watkins began to unfold, he was testing positive for cannabis.

As it turned out it, was the English teacher, Danielle Watkins, who was supplying Slinsky with marijuana. Watkins is serving a five year prison sentence after pleading guilty to charges of sexual assault of a student, threatening, and risk of injury to a child. Bridgeport police believe that Slinsky's death was the result of a drug deal gone bad and are treating it as a homicide. Police are investigating, but have no suspects at this time.
