If you live around here, you have two choices when it comes to winter: you can curse it, or you can celebrate it.  There will be plenty of celebration this weekend in Salisbury, CT as the SWSA 2015 Jumpfest Weekend comes to Satre Hill.

Ski jumping has been going on in Salisbury for 89 years, and this weekend skiing enthusiasts from all over the Northeast will come to the town to watch the best jumpers in the east compete in the Salisbury Invitational Tournament and the Eastern US Jumping Championships.

Friday night, there will be target ski jumping under the lights, a human dogsled race and chili cook-off.

Saturday's events include the Junior Nordic Competition, Salisbury Invitational Ski Jump and ice carving.  The "SnowBall" dance happens Saturday night happens at the Lakeville Firehouse, and features our old friend Joe Bouchard, formerly of Blue Oyster Cult, with his band, "Tree Top."

Sunday it's back on the mountain for the Easter US Jumping Championships. Tickets for most events are $15. For more info on Jumpfest, just click here.
