Connecticut’s state legislature worked into the wee hours this past session. When it was done they had passed a number of measures working towards changing alcohol laws. Here's some of those changes.

We are getting another hour every day to buy alcohol at package stores and other off-premise sale locations. The passed budget saw a new section allowing off-premise locations to sell alcohol until 10 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 6 p.m. on Sunday. It goes into effect starting July 1.

If you're a "Growler" fan this one will make you happy. Restaurants, cafes and taverns will now be able to sell sealed containers of draftt beer for off-premise drinking. The purchase is limited to four liters of beer per day for any individual.

Palchohol, powdered alcohol, has become a no-no though. Gov. Dannel Malloy signed a bill that bans the purchase, possession and sale of powdered alcohol, Beware, you'll be hit with a $100 fine for the first offense for purchasing or possessing Palchohol. Sell it and you are subject to a $250 fine.
