On Wednesday morning (July 18) a call came into the Danbury Police Department about a baby that was reportedly thrown into the Still River in the downtown part of the city.

According to the NewsTimes, Danbury police and firefighters teamed up to search the river for the baby. The so-called witness described a blanket the baby might have been wrapped up in.

Searchers who say they walked the entire length of the river, all the way to the rail yard did in fact find the blanket, but no baby. A thermal sensing camera was brought to the scene mounted on a drone to search the area with no success. Officials said there was absolutely no evidence that a baby had been thrown into the river with the blanket.
