Last weekend we had a chance to meet Santa and Mrs. Claus and check out Santa HQ, presented by HGTV, at Danbury Fair. It's interactive and very cute!

If you haven't stopped by yet, I definitely recommend bringing the kids. We had a fun time and the kids loved the interactive part of the experience.

When you get to the entrance of Santa HQ you will be greeted by some of Santa's helpers. They will guide your children to the "Naughty or Nice" meter where your child stands in front of the meter to see if they have been naughty or nice. Once the meter makes its decision (it will land on nice) your child's name will appear on the "Nice List."

From there you get to walk through part of Santa's workshop and the details are really cute in this room. There are some interactive parts, so make sure to look at everything. For instance, you can take a selfie and be transformed into an elf. My daughter loved this part.

As you continue walking through Santa HQ you will see a bunch of Christmas trees and you will hear Christmas music. What's fun is that the lights on the trees flash to the music. Very fun and cute!

The last room you enter, before seeing Santa, is the room where you will use an app called Elf Ray Vision. This is an app that is available in the App Store and the Play Store. It's a big app, so it's worth it to download it before you get to Santa HQ.

When you enter this last room you will see pictures of doors on the walls. Open the app and focus your phone on those points. You will see the gears come to life and elves will make an appearance too. The really fun part is how interactive this is. You can click on presents and they will open or click on the door and see who comes out when the door opens. This part was another hit with the kids (and the adults).

After that room you are now just a few people away from seeing Santa. When it's your turn you get to take a family picture in front of a fun backdrop. After you have taken your family picture it's time to see Santa. He sits and talks with the kids and Mrs. Claus is there too. The kids loved getting to meet both Santa and Mrs. Claus. They were absolutely wonderful with the kids!

Once the pictures with Santa have been taken, each child will receive a fun activity book. This is also the point where you get to choose what photos you would like. Digital downloads are available with the photo packages, which is a very convenient option to have. Check out Danbury Fair's website for pricing info.
