Santa Claus is Coming to Town

That is my son Lucas.  My other two boys did not get to meet Santa this year.  Not yet.  He got to meet Santa last week at the Bank Street coffee house in New Milford, CT.  Some kids on Lucas' bus told him Santa was not real.  That was rude and ill-informed.   Dad has known Santa for a very long time.  I explained to Lucas how Daddy and Santa became friends after my trouble with Santa.  Dad was on the naughty list for so many years.

Yeah Daddy did his time.  My relationship with Jolly Old Saint Nick is bound by two things....he makes sure I am doing the right thing and he keeps me humble by beating me at chess.

When I was a kid my overly dramatic grandma...Grandma Stipo told me that he was on the roof of her house.  I knew she was lying to me but I also knew that Santa was REAL.  I knew my grandma could not pinpoint where Santa was because he was too fast and too busy.

In 1997 Santa contacted me and said:  "Hey man.  You have been bad."  I said I know.  I was bad again for the next 10 years and he stopped calling me.  Santa just wanted me to start being good.  When I got married this summer Santa Claus called me again.  Thankfully he and I still had each others phone number's and he said: "stay in touch."  Then he said:  "Tell Louis to to stop pulling his pants up to his nipples, tell Christopher to stop staining his wife beater and tell Lucas to wash his feet."  I promised I would relay those messages.  I did and I am happy to say that no one listened.  Santa will be there for you but he will not be your friend until you get it together.

• Louis - Your pants are too high.
• Chris - Your shirt is full of pasta sauce
• Lucas - Your feet are smelly

Oh and Erica, Santa had one more message for you.  He said you should rub my back.  No biggie....I don't think I need it but if the big guy says it's so then maybe we should look into it.

One more thing......Santa had some advice for our parents.

• Miguel - speak up
• Viviana - speak English
• Mom (Santa called you mom) - Stop calling Lou so much and saying:  "HOW ARE YOU!?"  - He said no one is that happy especially your son.
• Dad - (Santa called you Dad) - Give Lou back his Sons of Anarchy shirt.

Anyway, Santa Claus will be joining the Ethan and Lou show tomorrow morning at 8:15 AM.  Listen and enjoy.
