It's baffling to me how David Crosby can still be making some of his best music at the age of 75.

From his early 20's until he was sent to prison in 1985, two-time rock and roll hall of famer (CSN and The Byrds) David Crosby, was stoned every single day. According to an interview with spinditty.com, when asked if he was ever stoned when he performed, he replied:

The answer to that is never once, until I got out of prison, did I ever record, perform, or do anything any way except stoned. I did it all stoned.

My personal opinion is that after 25 years of drug abuse -- which included free-basing cocaine and heroin -- Crosby has reinvented himself several times over. He was given a second chance at life, and he's taken advantage of the opportunity. He was reunited with his son, James Raymond, who is also an accomplished musician.

When Raymond found his birth mother, she told him that David Crosby was his father. Shortly after they met and bonded, they formed a band together called, CPR, which stands for Crosby, Pevar, and Raymond. Even though CPR was never commercially successful, the music was brilliant.

According to his ex-best-friend, Graham Nash, they haven't spoken a word to each other in over a year. When Lou and I asked Nash about what was going on between the two during an interview earlier this year, he told us he didn't want to talk about that because it was too personal to get into. Just recently, we asked Crosby if he and Nash were on speaking terms yet. He told us, "No, Graham's pissed off at me for something and I really don't even know what that something is."

David told us as much as he loved performing and recording with CSN, he needed to challenge himself by tackling  new projects which is exactly what he plans on doing for his Ridgefield Playhouse show this Saturday, December 10. Crosby's been working with Michael League from Snarky Puppy, who produced his new album titled, Lighthouse. Check out our full interview with David:
