In a story we first reported in June, the Hulda Lane homeowner, Mauro Tropeano ran out of the house and began shooting at the teens, hitting a 15-year-old girl.

Now, after a two month investigation, Ridgefield police issued an arrest warrant for Tropeano. After learning of the warrant, Tropeano turned himself into police on Monday evening.

During the investigation, according to the Ridgefield Press, police searched Tropeano's home and found a cache of drugs, which included more than seven pounds of pot, a bunch of steroids, and more than $28,000 in cash. I'll reiterate -- this is Ridgefield.

Tropeano was charged with second-degree assault with a firearm, unlawful discharge of a firearm, interfering with an officer along with drug manufacturing and distribution charges. Tropeano is free on $100,000 bond and will be back in court on September 5.

When I asked a friend of mine who lives in Ridgefield how he felt about the car theft, the drugs and the shooting, he told me"

One of the reasons I live in Ridgefield is because it's a nice quiet low crime community. We've never had to worry about people getting shot at or your car being ripped off! Since I moved here 16 years ago, I've always just left my guys in the car.
