Avielle's affection for the former dairy farm inspired its owners to honor the memory of the 1st grader who was a victim of the Sandy Hook shootings. The Castle Hill Farm owners, the Paproski family, have designed the 2014 corn maze in the shape of fireflies, the mascot of The Avielle Foundation. This Thursday, Castle Hill Farm presents its first fundraiser, "Show Your Glow" from 6 to 9pm. Avielle considered the glow of the firefly nature's act of "magic" which makes the perfect metaphor for the foundation's mission.

For $15 per person guests can stroll through the corn maze, enjoy bluegrass music and then gather around a bonfire where soup, pasta, hot cider, and homemade deserts will be available. All of the proceeds will be donated to the foundation.
