Normally I'd tell you to give blood, but the Red Cross is more than just their blood services. They need your help everyday, but today is major for the organization.

Today is Red Cross Giving Day. I shared with you just the other day my gratitude to the Red Cross for helping my mom when she needed numerous blood transfusions, and I gave you some local opportunities for the month of April to give blood. That said, the American Red Cross means so much more to people all across our country than just their blood services. Obviously, with all they do as an organization, they need your gifts of money to keep all of their services going.

So, today, the Red Cross is asking everyone to help one family by donating money for basic needs like food, clothing and shelter. Today's motto is #help1family

The Connecticut Red Cross goal today is to collect $50 thousand - double the amount raised last year. You can donate locally at Red Cross.org

Thanks in advance for any help you can give.
