Get Ready for a Back to School Heat Wave

Well the kids are finally back to school and you know what that means ... time for a summer heat wave.It was always such a thrill when you were a kid to head back to school and have temperatures in the 90s.

Remember how hard it was to think of anything school related when you just wanted to be at the beach or pool. Well those lazy, hazy days of summer are back this week, just in time for back to school.

Forecaster's say High Pressure will remain in control for most of the week allowing warm air from the south to overtake our region. Expect temps to be about 5-15 degrees above normal thru the end of the week and possibly into the weekend with little relief in sight.

It's a typical mid summer weather pattern. So if your back in school I feel your pain, but for now the best thing to do is enjoy the heat and stay hydrated,  cause before you know it (in a few months) we'll be in the deep freeze.
