Despite the fact that winter is still hanging on, Quassy Amusement and Waterpark is gearing up for their 110th Season, and has set the date for their official 2018 opening.

Quassy Amusement Park in Middlebury, CT. will officially open for the season on Saturday, April 28. The Water Park, adjacent to Lake Quassapaug will open on Memorial Day weekend.

According to patch.com, this year, as part of their season opening, they will be doing a $45 carload special. That means that up to 10 persons in one car receive an all-day ride wristband for only $45 with parking included. The carload special will also be offered on Sunday, April 29, and will include the park's annual egg hunt for prizes at 3 p.m.

Quassy Amusement and Waterpark features more then two dozen rides and attractions including the Wooden Warrior Roller Coaster, ranked as one of the Top 50 wooden coasters in the world.

New this year, Quassy has added a new three slide complex to its water park, Splash Away Bay. The largest of the three giant slides, which Quassy has named Torrent, will accommodate single and two-person rafts. The ride should keep even the craziest thrill seeker returning for more. In addition to the new slides, Quassy also constructed the new Splash Away Bay Café overlooking Lake Quassapaug.

Quassy has also planned a special kickoff event prior to the water park's opening on May 26. You could have the opportunity to be among the first to ride the new waterslides.
