A Putnam County woman was arrested following a two month police investigation into cocaine sales in the Hudson Valley.

In December of 2015, a deputy assigned to the Putnam County Sheriff’s Department Narcotics Enforcement Unit developed information that a female subject was selling cocaine in Carmel and Southeast. The deputy was allegedly able to arrange for the purchase of the drug on several occasions.

On February 5th, authorities located the subject at her home and took her into custody. 22-year-old Brittany Rubino, of Carmel, was charged with multiple counts of 3rd-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance, and 3rd-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, all felonies.

Rubino was arraigned at Town of Carmel Justice Court and committed to the Putnam County Correctional Facility in lieu of $1,000.00 cash bail pending a future court appearance.

If found guilty of the felony charges, the defendant could face up to 25 years in a prison and a fine of up to $30,000.00.
