The company that produces shows like Hell’s Kitchen, Pawn Stars, Real Housewives of New Jersey, Fixer Upper and others, is bringing a lot of work to Connecticut.

The CT Post says that the television content provider, ITV America, is going to relocate lots of current employees from New York City, adding to their work force as the company makes Stamford one of their corporate headquarters. With help from Governor Dannel Malloy, the state sponsored this project, which looks like it will generate 450 new jobs. ITV America is taking over an empty building in the South End of Stamford.

We now have over 1,200 media-type businesses in Connecticut, with over 16,000 workers at places like ESPN, NBC Sports Group, WWE, NBC Universal Domestic, which produces shows like Maury Povich, Jerry Springer, and Steve Wilkos, and others.

The state loaned ITV America $6 million and $3 million to its affiliate, Wheelhouse Entertainment. Some of that loan money will be forgiven if they meet job hiring targets.
