Pro wrestling legend, "Rowdy" Roddy Piper passed away in his sleep late Thursday night at the age of 61 from a heart attack. Piper was diagnosed with Hodgkins Lymphoma in 2006, but was cancer free when he passed.

We were honored to have Piper as a guest on The Ethan and Lou Show in March of 2010 to talk about an upcoming wrestling event. I remember Roddy as an easy going guest talking freely about his illustrious professional wrestling career and how lucky he was.

I also remember Lou and Roddy  discussing whether he should try one of his moves on Lou. They both agreed that Roddy's "Sleeper Hold" was a fairly safe bet.

What could possibly go wrong? Take a look at the photo!

Either Roddy wasn't aware of his own strength or Lou didn't know how to counteract the move, because before anyone knew what was happening, Lou's eyes rolled up into his head, his body went limp and he fell to the floor!

That's correct, Lou had passed out!

After Lou passed out, Roddy helped him up and proceeded to apologize a hundred times telling us it certainly wasn't his intention to KO his interviewers.

Lou recovered quickly but was humbled by the entire "Rowdy" Roddy Piper experience! The three of us went on to talk about Piper's influence in the wrestling business especially when it came to playing "the bad guy."

Piper was fearless, unpredictable, and one of the best talkers in professional wrestling history.

According to the Inquisitir, Piper's longtime friend, Ric Flair said, "We've shared the ring, traveled the world, maintained a friendship throughout the ups and downs of the wrestling world, It's almost impossible to express my grief."
