According to the News-Times, this Friday morning Danbury Titans owner Bruce Bennett and Ed Crowe, Titans coach Phil Esposito, and Danbury Mayor Mark Boughton, will all congregate at the Danbury Arena for an 11AM press conference to officially proclaim the start of a new Federal Hockey League team: The Danbury Titans!

Owner Bruce Bennett said, "We're actually up and running. We've moved in and and we will have our first tryout and training camp September 11." Bennett went on to say that the logo has been created and will be unveiled this Friday at the press conference. Ticket sales are in the works and should be ready to go online in mid August.

Coach Phil Esposito said, "Friday's press conference is all about the official launch of the Danbury Titans hockey team. We're going to launch the website and the Facebook and Twitter pages." 

With regards to the players, last year's Whalers will be a part of the FHL draft, and according to the co-owner of the Titans, is pretty sure you'll see some of them back for the Titan's inaugural season.

According to Bennett, the team called "The Stateline Whalers" have already relocated to Danville, Ohio. Owner Bruce Bennett joins the "Ethan and Lou Show" tomorrow morning (Thursday-July 23) at 8:15AM.
