Possible Bobcat Spotting in Mahopac Neighborhood

Pet owners in the Mahopac area may want to be a little more alert this week.

As I was scrolling through Facebook yesterday, a friend of mine had shared a photo to their timeline. It was from the Facebook group "Mahopac Families," and it depicted some type of wild cat walking through the streets. The caption from Brianna Byrne reads "Mahopac residents, be on the lookout! This guy was spotted in the area of Buckshollow Road today. Don't leave your children or pets outside unattended."

Now, I'm no cat expert -- I leave that up to Linda G -- but it looks like a bobcat. And judging from a few of the Facebook comments, I think I might be right, but like I said, I don't know for sure. This is just a heads up to take an extra minute to look at your surroundings and keep your pets and young children close.
