So many people enjoy the water, whether it's the ocean, lake, or swimming pool. As it starts to warm up pool safety becomes a major concern.

Most of us live for when the temperature warms up enough to go swimming. I grew up with a pool in the back yard and two lakes within walking distance of my house. Needless to say, I was a water rat as a kid, and still am.

But there is certainly the potential for a dangerous outcome when we hit the water.

A new campaign has been launched to encourage safety. Being called the "Pool Safely" campaign it's goal is to prevent drownings while your kids are at the pool. On the website you find safety tips like making sure your kids get swim lessons. It also encourages parents to learn CPR.

You can find more information at PoolSafely.gov and while you're there take a moment to take the "Pool Safely" pledge. Last one in the water is a rotten egg!
