PoliticaCT Looks to Spark Movement for Connecticut Women

With the current climate in the political arena, a little more chick power would be a powerful thing. Kudos to this new movement in Connecticut.

The Hartford Courant is reporting about a new political organization's goal is to get more progressive women into state office. This week PoliticaCT, kicked off in Hartford. The group was co-founded by Connecticut Senator, Beth Bye, D-West Hartford and attorney Jamie Mills, who practices in Hartford.

Women working together, supporting one another, and occupying seats in government is a strength I believe we need now more than ever.

The website politicact.org states the organizations mission to be:

To build a more progressive Connecticut through issue advocacy and the strategic recruitment, mentoring, and support of progressive women to run in targeted, winnable elections at the state level.
