There is always a lot of opportunities to help out in your community. Backing up Law Enforcement, for me, is one of the biggies.

While I have never used the crowd funding side GoFundMe for personal use, I have donated numerous times for all sorts of funding efforts. It really is an amazing tool to not only raise money, but to get the word out about special needs and various causes.

Now, a Connecticut police department is reaching out via GoFundMe. I'm sure some people are raising an eyebrow. But, when you consider the needs that are out there, and what money is available, I applaud alternate ways of paying for items.

According to the StamfordAdvocate, the Stamford Police department has launched a fund raising drive to aid their SWAT Team in replacing a very old and outdated armored vehicle. If you'd like to lend a hand and get more information it's available at GoFundMe.com

People helping people is where its at.
