A Danbury man was pulled over with a white powder around his nose, his passenger was arrested for drug possession.

Recently, deputies from the Putnam County Sheriff’s Office stopped a motorist who allegedly committed a traffic violation on Sodom Road in the Town of Southeast was pulled over.

During the course of the traffic stop, an officer noticed a white powder around the nose of a passenger in the vehicle, police say. An investigation revealed that the passenger, identified as Selvin Donis, 23, of Danbury was allegedly in possession of a quantity of cocaine.

Donis was charged with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, a misdemeanor.

Donis was processed at the Putnam County Correctional Facility and is being held their pending arraignment. If found guilty of the misdemeanor charge, he could face up to a year in jail and a fine of up to $1,000.
