Rapper, 50 Cent, whose real name is, Curtis James Jackson III, has a date with a Hartford courtroom this afternoon. (March 9).

Mr. Cent will appear in bankruptcy court to explain why he's surrounded by piles of cash in certain Instagram photos when he's filing for bankruptcy. In the photos, the cash spells out b-r-o-k-e.

According to a story in the Hartford Courant, 50 has told the court that the money isn't real. For a rundown on this developing story, watch the following video.

According to TMZ, Fif has plans to sell his 52-room mansion in Farmington for $8 million, which might be turned into an assisted living facility. I'm ready! Take me now! I could be the "artist in residence." Karaoke every Thursday night you old playas! The home includes 21 bedrooms, 25 baths and 50,000 square feet of space.

50 Cent told the Hartford Courant that filing for bankruptcy was a business move.

Last year, Mr. Cent was ordered to pay a woman $7 million for showing her sex tape online for all to see.

According to BET.com, 50 spent $135,000 in the month of December 2015, $24,000 for child support, a $35,000 mortgage payment, $14,000 for his security guards, $10,000 on his cars, along with $11,400 for lease payments. The problem is that he only earned $38,000 in the month of December. And I thought I was backed up!
