Playboy Magazine served it's purpose for many generations of young men who grew up with no internet and a wide-eyed curiosity about naked ladies.  The fact is the magazine is just obsolete now.

I read somewhere that internet pornography takes up about 30 percent of our time spent online nationally. That is crazy. I mean if you can instantly and for free see naked ladies then why buy a magazine to see them for like $8 bucks. That's like pilgrim porn.

For Playboy to survive, they had to try something different and now it can be more like Maxim. A true men's magazine.

You have to hand it to Hugh Heffner though for giving us national treasures like Pamela Anderson and even every once in a while a nudie peak at a celebrity.

What I have always wondered about was not the magazine, the logo or the man behind them, but the mansion. I think a party at the Playboy mansion has crossed my mind at least once a day everyday since I knew it existed.

You hear these crazy stories. Like there is a rumor that back in the 70's James Cann who lived down the road had a tunnel that ran from his home to the basement of the mansion so he did not even have to be seen entering the grounds.

That is some serious commitment to hooking up with chicks.

Yes, it is the end of an era.  But you just have to move on at some point. The only dumb thing Hugh Heffner ever did was this dumb reality show.
