Phil Esposito coached both the Whalers and Titans during his time in Danbury, and now, that run is over.

This pisses me off. It's not that we know that he was or was not fired. It's that I became friendly with Phil over the years. I consider him a friend.

The radio station and the various hockey teams throughout the years have been closely tied in business. In turn, I was around all the coaches of the different teams over the years, and Phil was the only one that was any fun. Basically, what I am doing is saying how does this affect me?

Yes, I have made this about me. We have a lot of events that, through work, we attend with these guys, and we even have the coaches on the air. Phil was the only one we had any chemistry with. The only one that had a sense of humor. I can't go back now. I won't.

I vow to get to the bottom of this. Furthermore, I vow to fix it. I put in calls to both Phil and the Titans' team owner, Bruce Bennett. I will broker a peace deal, and we will get this worked out, because if you think, for one minute, that I am going to sit here and fake liking a new coach, you can think again, buddy boy. This is not over.

I'll keep you posted on my progress as this plays out. In all seriousness, I have put calls into both sides, and Ethan and I plan on having both Phil and Bruce on in the coming days.
