The lore of Frank Pepe Pizza Napoletana just got a little bigger. The famed Connecticut pizza peddlers were just crowned Connecticut's most iconic restaurant by PureWow.com. The authors of the article chose a restaurant from each of the 50 states. I don't mind being represented by a glorious pizza, that's pretty cool.

I've been a big fan of Pepe's for years. Recently, it was announced that there will be a new Pepe's opening up in my hometown of Waterbury by Spring 2017. I think that PureWow's choice of Pepe's is a fair one. You don't get your own restaurant in a world-class facility like Mohegan Sun unless you have some fame behind your name.

I'm sure that many people have different ideas as to whom Connecticut's most famous restaurant representative is. My personal choices would be Frankie's, Abbott's Lobster in the Rough, The Union League Cafe, and Mystic Pizza.
