And your boss cannot ask you for your Facebook or Twitter log-in's either

Those are just two of the new laws that took effect today, Oct. 1 here in Connecticut.

Your employer cannot ask for your social media log in or password information, you have the right to say no and not be subject to punishment for refusal under this new law. And vaping, the grey area for smokers and non-smokers, has some clarity now. Connecticut's long-standing ban on smoking in public facilities has now been amended to cover e-cigarettes.

Laws that also protect and make it easier for Transgender people to change their birth certificates, police body cameras have been made easier to attain for local departments that want to utilize them, and laboratory animal protection laws have also gone into effect as of today.

In a story posted to FOXCT.COM there are more details explained about these new laws that have gone into effect.
