A stealthy Waterbury man who was wanted by Newtown police in connection with his alleged involvement in a credit fraud and identity theft case has been located.

According to a press release, the painstaking work of the Newtown Police Department paid off last week, as officers made the 25 mile trek to the picturesque (Maybe?) Elm City to execute an arrest warrant that had been active since the very end of 2015.

24-year-old Michael Tallman of Waterbury is accused of working with his girlfriend at the time, 29-year-old Earlisha Watson - also a resident of the Dirty Water - to steal the identity of an elder woman in order to withdraw money and make purchases with her credit card. Police say that Watson, who was the caretaker of the elderly victim, has already answered for the charges against her.

I am sure that the Newtown PD was pleased to finally bring Tallman in from New Haven after being unable to locate the alleged identity thief for a majority of 2016.

Earlisha Watson was charged with credit card theft by transfer and conspiracy to commit larceny when she turned herself in on January 14 of this year.

Michael Tallman has been charged with sixth degree larceny, illegal use of a credit card, and identity theft. He was released on $15,000 bond, and is due in court in Danbury early next month.
