While I don't even want to think about the dreaded white stuff, this news about plows should make us all feel better -- I guess.

Technology can be a beautiful thing. If it could figure out how to make it never snow during any point in time that is inconvenient for me, I'd be a happy camper. But, alas, not everything can revolve around me. So with that in mind, cleaning up snow covered highways in Connecticut in a more effective way can only be a good thing.

In a story from nbcconnecticut.com, Connecticut has a new tool designed to help keep state highways moving in the heaviest of snowfall. Out with the old, in with the new. Okay, the state isn't getting rid of all their plows, but this new fleet is pretty amazing.

Here's how it works: The new fleet of tow-behind plows are capable of clearing snow from two highway lanes in a single pass. State transportation officials say the new plows will improve cycle times and reduce fuel use associated with the clearing of snow.

Thank you Governor Malloy, and Connecticut DOT.
