Bob Brophy and Chris Ellis are two guys that definitely believe in using their musical talents to give back to the community.  They have organized many benefit concerts over the last several years under the name "Pass The Hat Productions" and enlist their musician friends to help a variety of causes.

Their current project may be their most ambitious yet: "Pass The Hat, Volume 1," a 17-song CD featuring area musicians covering just about every musical style. From Blues to Country to Hard Rock to instrumental Swing, it's all represented.  There are some amazingly talented musicians in this area and the CD gives a nice overview of some of the best.

The CD is available at Fast Eddie's and the River Bistro in New Milford as well as online through Amazon, CD baby and iTunes for $10.  All proceeds benefit MVP-SOS, a volunteer non-profit foundation providing funding to New Milford children in financial need, so they can participate in extracurricular sports, arts, music and educational programs.

You can catch Bob's band, the Blue Yodels, this Sunday at the I-95/ Brewster Honda CT Man Show at the Danbury Sports Dome. Bring an extra $10 and grab a copy of the CD!
