Did something crawl out of the Naugatuck River?

For the second time in the month of November, Naugatuck High School was shut down today as crews searched for the source of a mysterious foul stench. In a story posted to NBCCONNECTICUT.COM, it was reported that the first closure was on Thursday November 5, and it was believed that a dirty grease trap in the school was the cause.

It turns out, that it wasn't. The noxious odor reappeared, and officials closed the school again to try to find out the source of the stank. I have a sneaking suspicion that all of the old dog poop from "The Naugy Doggie" finally made it across Rubber Avenue, into the high school sewer system. That is just my guess, but I think it's a good one.
