I am lucky, I think I have a pretty cool sounding name. I don't put a lot of thought into it because I don't have a name that is somehow a burden or a little embarrassing. That's not the case for everyone. Some people have names that are very hard to pronounce, some have weird names and other people flat out think their name is a bit boring. If you could change your name, what would you choose and why would you change it?

Wednesday we will celebrate "Get a Different Name Day" on the Ethan and Lou show and we wanted to give you some time to think about it. Although I like my name very much, I wanna play along so I have come up with a short list of possible name changes I could roll with:

  • Dr. Eleanor Bushbags
  • Professor Harry Bunches
  • Dwayne - Pronounced DO-WAYNE, nickname: "Dirty Dwayne"
  • Burton Cummings
  • Eliza Dushku
  • Herman Funderson
  • Iona Beamer
  • Kramer Disclaimer
  • Lord Vladimir Bloes
  • Gitzit Upenya
  • Blitzen Burnbarrel
  • DJ Smoov Nuts
  • Uncle Mustard
  • Reed Malips
  • Cousin Jeffrey - I would of course work at the Parks Department
  • Eagle Wing
  • Lester Dirtbag
  • Kevin

I'd roll with one of those if I were to change my name. The more I think about it, the more I want to change my name. There is actually an annoying chore that goes along with being named Milano.

People hear this name and say "like the cookie, right!?" I always say yes, like the cookie but what I am thinking is "NO! Like the F------ city in Italy!" I can't say that because of society and basic rules of common decency but I'd like to. It's a bit frustrating that most people think of "Pepperidge Farm" first. It's also the most overrated cookie in the history of cookies.

So Wednesday I am changing my name to one of the glorious names I've listed above. Will you join me? Why are YOU changing? What will YOU choose?
