Most Popular Halloween Candy By State

If you asked a bunch of kids, "What is your favorite thing about Halloween?" About 90% would say, CANDY! What is considered 'good' candy? Is it 'Reese's Peanut Butter Cups?' Hell yeah! Product reviews site, 'Influenster" set their sights on finding out the favorite candy in each state. The site surveyed over 40,000 people to find out what kind of sugar-fix are the favorites with the Trick or Treating crowd. Here's what they found.Overall, the big winner turned out to be 'Reese's Peanut Butter Cups' because there ain't nothin' like mixing milk chocolate with peanut butter! This is one of only three candies voted on by every single state. The candy of choice in the most number of states was, Candy Corn. Ewwwww!

Connecticut and Rhode Island
The most favorite candy in Connecticut and Rhode Island is 'Reese's Peanut Butter Cups." Not that anyone's paying attention to fat or sugar content in their Halloween candy but RPBC have 13g of fat and 29g of sugar.

New Jersey
'Sour Patch Kids' was the favorite candy in New Jersey. Good news, these non nutritious little morsels have no fat but do contain 36g of sugar!

New York State
'Sweet Tarts' were the #1 choice of candy in New York. I, personally, love these little buggers. With dextrose and corn syrup, the two main ingredients, along with a bunch of chemicals I can't pronounce, these yummy candies weigh in at 60 calories per serving with no fat and only 11g of sugar.

New Hampshire
'Tootsie Rolls' were king of the candy in New Hampshire. I love, love, love a fresh tootsie roll! What's not to love, chocolatey goodness with just the right amount of chewiness. For a single serving size which are 6 pieces, they go about 155 calories, with 1.3g of fat and 22.5g of sugar. Not bad at all.

Maine
Yet another one of my favorite candies, 'Starburst' is Maine's favorite candy weighing in with no fat and 130 calories per serving(9 pieces) and 22g of sugar.
