Most of Danbury Area Spared by Nor’easter [PHOTOS]
How much snow did you get? Most of the Greater Danbury area received a moderate 4 to 5 inches in the wake of Storm Jonas but they got hammered in southern Fairfield county and all points south.
Greenwich and Stamford experienced blizzard like conditions and even Ridgefield got hit with 10 inches, but it paralyzed New York City and Washington, D.C.
Our nation's capital got buried under 3 feet of snow while tens of thousands of travelers were stranded all up and down the eastern seaboard. D.C. monuments, usually crowded with tourists, sat vacant, while all mass transit came to a grinding halt.
In Kentucky, Pennsylvania, and West Virginia, drivers were marooned for hours at a time on snow clogged roads. Winds whipped up to 75 mph in Dewey Beach, Delaware and Langley Air Force Base in Virginia creating "white-out" conditions. According to winter storm expert, Paul Kocin, who's written two books on the subject, "This is kind of a Top 10 snowstorm." How did the storm affect you?
