More Changes to Waterbury’s West Side – Spartan’s Restaurant Expands
There have been so many changes to Waterbury's West Side recently. Starbucks, Verdi, and ProFuel have all opened for business. There is massive construction going on at NVCC, and I found out over the weekend that my beloved Fairfield Avenue Rite Aid is undergoing a major renovation.
I stopped into the new ProFuel on Chase Parkway on the way home tonight, and I noticed something at Spartan's. There wasn't a hair salon in the plaza anymore. Instead, there was a new sign up that said Spartan Banquet Room.
I jumped on their website and checked it out, and Spartan's now offers a dedicated room for banquets, private events, bereavement brunch and lunches, and pizza parties, for up to 40 people. I've eaten their food for more than 30 years. The Kaloidis family has significantly contributed to my growth as a human being. Huh-huh-huh
The prices are very reasonable, and the quality of the food they serve is top-notch. It's very nice to see a local place diversify and try something new. Good luck to the Kaloidis family, and I'll be there in 20 minutes to pick up my Spartan's Special and Greek salad without the anchovies.
