How come nothing cool like this happens when I travel?

I just had drinks and a bite to eat with a friend and the conversation at one point centered on dogs, and more specifically service dogs. She then mentioned about an upcoming flight and that she had registered her dog as a service animal and it would be joining her on the plane. This part of the story leads to the next....

I just came back from a trip to Las Vegas with a group of friends and of course flew in and out of McCarran International Airport. No dogs, or for that matter snakes were on my flights in or out. Damn, I missed the monkey by just two days!

In a story from news3lv.com, a monkey was on a flight to Las Vegas last night. A McCarran International Airport spokeswoman says the monkey was a service animal to a passenger flying on Frontier Airlines flight from Columbus, Ohio.

Turns out, for a fee, you can get paperwork to bring a monkey on a plane, same as bringing on a service dog.The spokeswoman says the monkey had the proper paperwork. The plane landed safely, and police greeted the monkey as a precaution.

Oh my god, now's my chance to say - Not My Circus, Not My Monkeys!
