Technology update time. Have you been buying your Metro-North tickets via WebTicket? That option is ending soon, so you need to get with the program.

Metro-North has announced it will be ending the sale of WebTickets that enables riders to purchase tickets online. Instead, the railroad is encouraging rides to purchase tickets on the mobile devices.

Monthly WebTickets will no longer be available after Oct. 25, 2016.

All other types of WebTickets will no longer be available after Nov. 30, 2016.

You can click on the Metro-North link for info about the free MTA eTix app and get answers to many questions. There is even a very easy to follow tutorial about how to use the app and buy your tickets.

I'm not the most tech savy person, but I do like to save time. This app function for Metro-North appears to do just that.
