According to the NewsTimes, Danbury's Mayor, Mark Boughton, is proposing the hire of a "quality of life" officer for the downtown area. According to the report, the officer would deal directly with local businesses and the homeless for a happier, cleaner and safer Downtown Danbury.

First off, this is a sweetheart of a job, and I want it. You are walking around all day, talking to people, listening to their concerns, and then -- maybe -- doing something about it. I love it, I love it, I love it. Sign me up.

Second of all -- friggin' Boughton. This guy rocks. He just does one cool thing after another, and if he is not careful, he is going to go ahead and get himself elected as Governor of the State of Connecticut.

Third, and most serious -- I am a Danbury resident, and my quality of life is great. I sincerely mean that, but there are, of course, hassles. The traffic is one example. It is so bad, but I am surrounded by great food, good people, good music and safe environments.

Danbury, CT is so hot right now.
