What could possibly go wrong? According to NASA, Asteroid 2015 TB145 is heading our way and will make the closest approach to earth than any asteroid since July of 2006.NASA tells us that this huge chunk of rock is estimated anywhere from 918 to 2,014 feet in diameter which is somewhere between two and six football fields wide and will be traveling at 178,000 mph. NASA also says there's almost no chance of an asteroid becoming a threat over the next 100 years.

Our Halloween asteroid TB145, will fly by about 310,000 miles from Earth, according to Science Alert, which they say is still unusually close for a space rock of its size.

According to Inside Science, one rock about a half mile wide could cause significant damage by causing widespread earthquakes and releasing the energy equal to 100 billion tons of TNT. The meteorite that scientists believe wiped out the dinosaurs 65 million years ago was most likely 6 to 7 miles wide.

How large of a rock would it take to obliterate everyone and everything on Earth? You're talking 60 miles wide where everything would vaporize in a matter of minutes.
