A dangerous scene in Westchester County luckily ended with no major injuries. New York State Police say a Connecticut man crashed his vehicle after he was driving four times over the legal limit of intoxication.

On Tuesday, New York State Police were sent to the intersection of State Routes 138 and 121 in Lewisboro after a reported one-car collision. Police identified the driver involved in the one-car crash as 45-year-old Corey J. Cordell, of Ridgefield, Conn. After an investigation, police alleged that Cordell was drunk at the time of the accident.

Cordell provided a breath sample that revealed he was more than drunk. The test showed that his blood alcohol content was .33 percent, more than four times the legal limit of intoxication. He was charged with aggravated driving while intoxicated, a misdemeanor.

Cordell was issued traffic tickets. He’s due to appear in Town of Lewisboro Court on Jan. 18.
